There is something about the unknown that makes humans curious. When one cannot understand something, he or she begins to ask questions. A lack of information can cause one to assume. Individuals like closure. When we cannot figure out a story, we assume our own ending, so we can be satisfied. We use our own memory, experience and knowledge to create an ending. In life, it’s difficult to accept the things that we do not understand, so we start to believe our assumptions as literal truths; and that becomes problematic. This body of work explores the idea of accepting what cannot be determined, an unsolvable mystery.
